This review is long overdue, but my experience with TrueFond was great! I found them when I searched "African print dresses" on Instagram and saw one of their beautiful pieces. Although I was a bit skeptical at first, I contacted them and asked if they could make this dress for me.
I asked for this dress custom made. It was not on their website but they did have a video of it on their page. When I asked them if they could make it for me they happily did! I also asked them if they could make the dress for me but use the blue, yellow and black fabric they used on a different dress & they said it was no problem at all. They went out of their way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted with my exact measurements!
The only issue I had is that I requested the dress be delivered before the 15th of November & if arrived later than that. To be fair, I did only give them a month to make & send the dress so I really was not too upset about it. Based on my personal experience and the countless other exceptional reviews, I would highly recommend TrueFond to a friend.
The dress is amazing. The colours and the slit are beautiful. I adjusted the slit a bit before wearing it for an event. The only thing that I will be adjusting in the future is the length because it was long and I want to wear the dress again. Overall, I am very satisfied with the look.
This is my second time ordering from True Fond. Last year I ordered the "Akuffo Vivant African Print Maxi Dress". I LOVE both dresses. I sent my measurements and the dress is a perfect fit. I also needed this dress fast as I ordered a bit late. They have great customer service and allowed me to pay for express shipping to receive my dress in time for a wedding. I will have to come back to upload photos of the dress.
I needed this dress for my 25th anniversary wedding renewal ceremony in Eygpt June 2022. I was in love with the photo. THE DRESS IS A COMPLETE HORROR, A ARTS AND CARFT PROJECT GONE ALL WRONG. The material is heavy, and thick like a coat. It is padded like a quilt to hot to wear
As you can see in the photos the seams are not lined up, one side is larger than the other. The fabric is so heavy it sags and buckles above my crotch. As you can see on the pictures . The zipper can barely handle the weight of the dress. TrueFond saw these same picture and still will not refund my money. If you would like more pictures of the dress email me at [email protected]. i will be sharing this aweful expression with everyone I know. The dress is a shame, that TrueFond will not return my money is criminal, and they should be ashamed for stealing 500 USD from me. I was willing to return the debauchery of a dress. True fond offered to pay my tailoring cost, but as you see from the pictures, the dress is not fixable with simple alterations! My tailor said it was not fixable, she would need to take the dress apart and see what could be done with the fabric. Share this with everyone you know.

ATTENTION, the belt and the bag were purchased separately. Very good first experience on this site and with this seller, all my requests were listened to and applied, I would probably recommend others in the future if necessary Note that the dress comes with a slit up to the waistband (which came to me a little below the navel), I sewed it myself so that it starts just below the panties, but I imagine that we can ask to have it less indented upstream

A noter que la robe est livrée avec une fente jusqu'à la ceinture (qui m'arrivait un peu en dessous du nombril), je l'ai cousue moi même pour qu'elle commence juste en dessous de la culotte, mais j'imagine qu'on peu demander à l'avoir moins échancrée en amont

I was absolutely disappointed with the service after I ordered the dress and during the shipping process. However, the dress came literally in the midnight after I panicked to find another option. I received multiple compliments at my event and felt great wearing it. My rating is more so for the service/experience rather than the product so take it for what it’s worth.
